Dear Friends...Anticipate Good To Happen

Dear Friends...

Here’s a realistic expectation for you…anticipate GOOD to happen!!!!

“Seriously?” you mutter to yourself. “You don’t know my family”… “You don’t know the situation I’m in”… “You don’t know the pain I feel”… “If you had gone through what I have then you wouldn’t ask me to anticipate good.”

Yes, I am asking you to anticipate good, but I am not making light of your situation or what you’ve been through. Trust me. As a counselor, I hear daily about the trauma and tragedy that has affected my clients and the people they love and I’ve been through my own seasons of hardships. I, like you, am also horrified by many of the world’s events. All of this can stop us in our tracks, but here’s the game changing decision that you could make. You have the power to decide where you are going to get the truth. Will you get it from the world or God? What you can see or feel, or what you cannot see and may not feel?

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” Deuteronomy 30:19

You have a CHOICE!!! Will you choose life or death? In every situation, there is good and bad. You can either focus on one or the other. What you choose is a game changer.

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.” Psalm 27:14

There is a silver lining in every dark place. And HIS name is Jesus. You can anticipate HIS presence in every situation no matter what. This is where hope steps in. This is where trust steps in. There is where your faith shows up and you simply believe. Believe in good and watch Him work something out in your life.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” Isaiah 40:31

So, how about today, this week, and this Holiday season you choose LIFE! Choose to turn your eyes and heart to Jesus. Expect-Wait-Hope- Good will come and He will not disappoint.

Blessings~ Angel

Fighting Our Battles

When we see ‘wrong’ our flesh wants to act - do something. Either we want to run away from it (flee); hide so to speak or stay deaf and blind (freeze). Some of us are incensed by it and we want to mak
